Finley School District remains committed to ensuring that all students have the essential knowledge and skills in place to meet standards and move forward to achieve success in their education. This Return to School section of our website has been developed to house information and updates pertaining to the operation of our schools under the ongoing impacts of COVID-19.

All Washington school districts must continue to adhere to the requirements set forth by the Department of Health (DOH), Labor and Industries (L&I), and Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI).  On July 28, 2021 the DOH released updated guidance for all schools in their publication “K-12 COVID-19 Requirements for Summer 2021 and the 2021-2022 School Year.”

Currently, all staff, students and visitors are required to wear masks/face coverings while indoors at schools, regardless of vaccination status. Face coverings are not required to be worn outdoors. It is important to note that this is a legal requirement for all Washington public schools and cannot be changed by local school boards.

In addition to the masking requirement, the updated DOH guidance has modified the quarantine protocols in order to minimize lost instruction. The detailed requirements on quarantine and isolation for schools can be found on pages 9-11.
