SHAKE School Supply Drive

SHAKE 25th Annual School Supply Drive
Posted on 07/11/2019
In 1994 SHAKE began its program distributing school supplies to students in need to three schools in our area. Collection sites were at the Payless shoe stores and Kennewick General Hospital. Twenty-five years later, SHAKE now has 56 collection sites and distributes school supplies to 86 schools in Benton and Franklin Counties, targeting over 32,000 students!

SHAKE'S 25th Annual School Supply Drive will run from July 10 through August 7Help celebrate SHAKE's 25th year by attending their Open House Work Party on Wednesday, July 17th at 10:00 a.m. at the Education Building of the Emmanuel Baptist Church, located at 1116 N. 20th Avenue in Pasco.  At the work party, donated school supplies are sorted, counted and packed for delivery. This is a great opportunity to meet SHAKE volunteers and see them at work.

To continue with the celebration on that same date, July 17, there will be a fundraiser for SHAKE at Hops n Drops (formerly Hop Jacks) at 4898 W. Hildebrand Boulevard, Suite A, in Kennewick. Between the hours of 5:00-8:00 p.m., Hops n Drops will donate 20% of their sales to SHAKE.
