All Finley schools are closed beginning March 17 through April 24. All school events, activities, athletics, and facility rentals are postponed until at least April 24. We appreciate your patience as we continue to post updates to our various web pages, social media, and other communication channels.

We understand that extended school closure will create hardship for many families. Children rely on the consistent routine, resources, and support people available to them each school day. The following is a summary of Finley School District’s immediate plans to continue serving our students and their families. We will provide further details and updates by Friday, March 20th.

Free Meals for Students

Beginning Monday, March 23, Finley School District will provide breakfast and lunch on weekdays to any child, 18 years and younger, regardless of their family income. Meals will be delivered via school bus to all Finley school bus stops using the district’s standard two-hour delay schedule (meaning two hours later than students would normally board their bus in the morning). Students who walk to school (e.g. do not have an assigned bus route) will be able to pick up meals from the bus stop nearest their home.

During food delivery, breakfast and lunch meals will be provided. Children 18 years and younger must be present to receive meals. One set of meals (breakfast and lunch) will be provided per student. Meals will not be distributed to children who are not present.

District staff will comply with state and healthcare directives regarding social distancing, including limiting the number of individuals gathered at the food collection sites.

Updates & Communication

We will be posting updates via our website, Facebook page, and family notification platform (phone calls/emails/texts) as information and directives become available. This is an unprecedented time, and we want to thank our staff, students, and families for your patience and support in helping to keep our communities safe. Please take care of yourselves!
